DiveLine Administration is a required class for the IS person or individuals responsible for the installation and maintenance of the client-server architecture. This class teaches the student the considerations that must be taken into account prior to installing DI client-server architecture in a Microsoft Windows® environment.

Topics Covered:

• DI-Config
• Available Clients
• Security Considerations (controlling access, user authentication, users and groups)
• Installation (platforms, files/Models, client/server prerequisites, verification)
• Configuration (Tabs: General, Users, Groups, Aliases, ACL)
• Performance Considerations

Prerequisites:

Students are expected to be able to perform System Administration tasks on their production environment(s) and be familiar with Microsoft Windows®.

Who Should Attend:

This lecture/lab class is designed specifically for the IS Professional who will be involved in the design and maintenance of the server, as well as those individuals that are responsible for the creation, deployment, and maintenance of user profiles and data security.
